Terence McKenna (1946—2000) was a techno-shaman, mongrel poet-evincer of mysticisms, layman mathematics, and adept conjury of spoken literacies and wit, and wastrel, icon-wasting madmannish raver of the rifted, earth-smoked elegies of modern man — of our culture-inculcating separation from the leafy, healing throes of nature, the Gaian overmind, and Gaia-given entheogens; or, self-describably, a “minor icon in the culture of the underground.”
