Since I suspect you’re a fan of Keats, I wonder if you’ve glanced at Dan Simmons’ Hyperion sf novels? They’re heavy going at times (and feature too much torture) but have a startling amount of literary/poetic content … ^z

Those novels are without doubt outstanding, I find it hard to articulate my regard for them, they are subtlety didactic whilst being beautifully fantastical.
